    Krunal Pandya

    Krunal Pandya achieved a lot in a very short time as an international cricketer. He captained India to their first ever T20 International victory, against England in the 2017 ICC World Twenty20. Krunal is an all-rounder who bats right-handed and bowls left-arm orthodox. He was born on 24th September 1990 in Rajkot, Gujarat.

    Krunal started his cricketing career with local side Rajkot Stallions at the age of 14. After impressing with consistent performances for the side, he was signed by Mumbai Indians in 2010. Krunal enjoyed a successful spell with Mumbai Indians and was awarded the Rising Star award at the 2014 Indian Premier League (IPL). His impressive performances saw him being signed by Somerset County Cricket Club for the 2015 English County Championship season. Krunal made his international debut for India against Sri Lanka in February 2016 and has since gone on to captain India to their first ever T20 International victory against England in 2017 ICC World Twenty20.

    Shikhar Dhawan led India to their first ever Test victory against Zimbabwe in Harare, with a composed century. The right-hander was at the top of his form and smashed 182 off 238 balls, including 15 fours and two sixes. He was ably supported by Rohit Sharma (68) and Virat Kohli (54).

    Rohit Sharma was captain of India in their first ever Test match. Rohit is from Mumbai and played for Mumbai Indians in the IPL. Rohit is a left-hand batsman and has played for India in Tests, One Day Internationals (ODIs) and T20Is. Rohit Sharma’s batting style is mainly based on hitting the ball through the infield and over long distances.

    Dinesh Karthik, an all-rounder who bats right handed and bowls left arm orthodox, was the captain of India in their first ever Test against Australia. The 27-year old made his Test debut against Australia in November 2012 and has since played 54 Tests, scoring 2,827 runs with 20 hundreds and a average of 54.79. He has also taken 144 wickets with an average of 28.75 and has been part of the Indian team that won the World Cup in 2011 and the Asia Cup in 2014.

    Bhuvneshwar Kumar

    Bhuvneshwar Kumar was the captain of India in their first ever Test match. He also led India in their inaugural One Day International (ODI) match against Australia. Kumar has played for numerous teams throughout his cricketing career, including the Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings. He is a left-handed batsman and occasional right-arm off spin bowler.
