    In the second installment of Trueman’s Objective Biology for Neet, we will be discussing muscles and skeletal system. Muscle is responsible for movement and the skeletal system is responsible for supporting and protecting the body. The two systems work together to enable us to do things like walk, run, and lift weights.

    The muscles in our bodies are composed of contractile cells called muscle fibers. Muscle fibers are arranged in bundles or sheets called fascicles. These fascicles are bundled together and layered under the skin. There are several different types of muscle fibers, each with its own specific function.

    The skeletal system consists of bones, cartilage, ligaments, tendons, and nerves.bones provide structural support for the body and protect organs from damage; cartilage helps cushion joints; ligaments hold bones together; tendons transmit force from muscle to bone; and nerves control movement throughout the body.

    Muscles play an important role in everyday life by helping us move around and perform tasks that we need to do. The skeletal system also plays a big role in everyday life by providing structural support for the body as well as cushioning joints so they don’t hurt when we move around or do physical activities.

    Trueman’s Objective Biology for Neet Vol III- Nervous System

    The nervous system is responsible for transmitting signals between different parts of the body. It is also important in regulating many bodily functions, such as muscle movement and heart rate.

    Each nerve cell contains a neurotransmitter, which is a chemical that helps to transmit signals between cells. Neurotransmitters are essential for proper nerve function and can be disrupted by conditions like Alzheimer’s disease and Parkinson’s disease.

    The nervous system consists of two main parts: the central nervous system (CNS) and the peripheral nervous system (PNS). The CNS includes the brain and spinal cord. The PNS includes all of the nerves that exit the brain and travel outside of the body.

    The CNS controls most of the organs in the body, while the PNS controls simple cranial nerves, such as those that control eye movement and facial expressions. Nerve damage can lead to a variety of symptoms, including weakness, paralysis, and trouble speaking or swallowing.

The adrenal glands produce substances that help control blood pressure, stress levels, and energy levels. The thyroid gland is responsible for regulating metabolism. Ovaries/testes produce sperm and eggs.
