Food

Food is a basic necessity of life. It provides energy, helps the body grow and keeps you healthy. Food also provides vitamins, minerals and other nutrients that the body needs to function properly.

Food can be divided into macronutrients (carbohydrates, fats and proteins) and micronutrients (vitamins, minerals). Carbohydrates provide energy for your body by breaking down into glucose during digestion; fats are used as an energy source as well as insulation; proteins are needed for growth and repair of tissues in your body

Water/Hydration

Water is perhaps the most essential of all the basic necessities for life. Water is required for every single bodily process, from breathing to digestion and metabolism. Without it, you would die in a matter of days–if not hours!
